10:00 am: Planetarium Show: Earth, Moon & Sun

See the show Earth, Moon & Sun which is followed by a star talk, where you can see what planets and stars are in the night sky.

Description of show:Coyote has a razor sharp wit, but he’s a little confused about what he sees in the sky. Join this amusing character (adapted from American Indian oral traditions) in a fast-paced and fun fulldome show that explores lunar phases, eclipses and other puzzles. Engaging and immersive, Earth, Moon & Sun™ also examines how humans learn through space exploration.

Join us on the plaza outside the planetarium for different activities. (While supplies last)

Presented by Dany Waller

About Dany Waller: Dany Waller is the director of the Farish Planetarium and Earth & Space Science Program coordinator at the Living Arts & Science Center in Lexington, KY. She has a B.S. in mathematics and a B.A. in physics from the University of Kentucky where she specialized in mathematical physics and planetary geophysics. Dany loves science communication and is very involved in the local STEM community as a NASA Solar System Ambassador! 

12:00 pm: Astronomical Story time with the Madison County Public Library

Madison County Public Library will be joining us with an astronomy-themed book display and some out-of-this-world story time offerings for young children!
